DAY 01

ARRIVE TOKYO, JAPAN – WELCOME TO JAPAN!

Today, begin your beautiful journey of Japan with Airtours Holidays. Arrive at Narita Airport where you will be met by your Tour Manager at the arrival area after clearing immigration and customs. Kindly make your own arrangement if you are unable to meet the Tour Manager at the designated time. Then check-in to the hotel. (Standard check-in time is 1500 hrs.)

DAY 02

GUIDED CITY TOUR OF TOKYO – RIVER SUMIDA CRUISE – VISIT THE ASAKUSA SENSOJI TEMPLE – VISIT SHINJUKU GYOEN – VISIT TOKYO TOWER

After buffet breakfast, proceed on a guided tour of Tokyo. Start with a cruise on River Sumida and enjoy the landscape of Tokyo from the river. Then, visit the 7th Century Buddhist Sensoji Temple in the Asakusa District. Also walk through the Nakamise Shopping Street, which has been in existence since the 17th century, where you can buy local Japanese souvenirs. Enjoy local lunch. Visit Shinjuku Gyoen, that has been around since the Edo Period (1603-1868) as a feudal lord’s Tokyo residence. Later it was converted into a botanical garden and in 1949 it was dedicated to the citizens of Japan as a public park. Later, visit Tokyo Tower, that was constructed in 1958, and is an enduring icon of Japan, to get a bird’s eye view of Tokyo from the Main Observation Deck at 150 metres.

DAY 03

TOKYO – HAKONE ROPEWAY – LAKE ASHI CRUISE – MOUNT FUJI – TOKYO

After buffet breakfast, drive to Hakone and take the Hakone Scenic Ropeway. Thereafter, embark on a cruise on tranquil Lake Ashi. Enjoy local lunch. Later, drive to experience the majestic Mt Fuji, Japan’s most famous symbol! Take in the amazing view of the valley below from Mt Fuji 3rd/4th/5th Station (weather conditions permitting). Return to Tokyo.

DAY 04

TOKYO – TRAIN TO KANAZAWA – SAMURAI HOUSE – KENROKUEN GARDEN

After buffet breakfast, check out and proceed to Tokyo station to embark on a thrilling train ride on the super-express train for Kanazawa (please prepare 01 small bag for 02 overnights, 01 big bag will be transferred to Osaka), a delightful, small town nestled in the majestic Japanese Alps. Over the next few days you will travel back in time as you explore rural Japan where traditional architecture, ancient culture and fascinating customs have been proudly preserved. Enjoy local lunch. Head to Nomura Samurai House, a historic home with landscaped inner gardens and pond in Nagamachi. You can walk through the different levels of the house to see the living quarters and gardens that are well-preserved even to this day. Proceed to the beautiful Kenrokuen Garden, one of the most fascinating gardens in Japan and marvel at the waterfalls, ponds and charming tea-houses.

Tour No.1 JERUSALEM TOUR

MOUNT OF OLIVES, WESTERN WALL, CHURCH OF HOLY SEPULCHRE, YAD VASHEM

Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Stop at Mount Zion to visit King David’s Tomb, Room of Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey; Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of Holy Sepulchre. Proceed to the New City and visit Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust.

On Saturdays and Jewish holidays, instead of Yad Vashem, drive to Ein Karem, southwest of Jerusalem, traditionally known as birthplace of John the Baptist; Stroll in the narrow lanes of the picturesque neighborhood, stopping by Mary’s spring and continue to visit the remarkable Church of Saint John the Baptist, return to point of departure.

NOTE:

Modest dress (no shorts or sleeveless shirts) and head covering are required for visiting holy sites.

  • Entrance to the Holocaust Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10.

DAY 05

KANAZAWA – VISIT GOKAYAMA AND SHIRAKAWA-GO – ON TO OSAKA

After buffet breakfast, check out and enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque valley to the village of Gokayama, a UNESCO World Heritage site and enjoy a demonstration of traditional Japanese paper making techniques, where you will make your very own postcard. Then head to the village of Shirakawa-go, another UNESCO World Heritage site where you will discover fascinating architecture of old steep thatched-roof Gassho houses that have been around since the 11th century. This unique architectural style, harmonized into the magnificent mountain landscape, was developed to help the inhabitants to survive the extremely harsh winter. Walk around the village to experience daily life in this remote area. Enjoy local lunch. Thereafter, drive to Nagoya Station. Board the Bullet train to Shin-Osaka Station.

DAY 06

KIYOMIZU TEMPLE – ARASHIYAMA BAMBOO GROVE – GOLDEN PAVILION – NIJO CASTLE – OSAKA

After buffet breakfast, drive to Kyoto and visit the Kiyomizu-dera temple complex, a Buddhist temple located in eastern Kyoto. Later, head to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, one of Kyoto’s top sights. Standing amidst these soaring stalks of bamboo is like being in another world. Enjoy local lunch. Later drive to Golden Pavilion to see the Kinkakuji Temple. Then visit Nijo Castle. Return to Osaka.

Tour No.2 MASSADA AND DEAD SEA

MASADA’S HEROD’S FORTRESS AND PALACES; DEAD SEA BEACH

Depart via the Judean hills to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth; Visit a Dead Sea cosmetic products shop. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada and learn about the heroic story of the Jewish fighters. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, palace, synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors, roman baths, and other findings. Descend by cable car. Continue to the Dead Sea; Enjoy the unique opportunity to float in the Dead Sea and cover yourself with the mineral rich mud that many believe has its therapeutic effects. Return to point of departure.
