DAY 04

NAZARETH – SEA OF GALILEE – GOLAN HEIGHTS

Day 4: Nazareth – Sea of Galilee – Golan Heights. Today after breakfast, we proceed on a tour of Nazareth. Visit the Church of Annunciation where Mary was told by the Angel Gabriel that she would conceive a son (Jesus). Next-door we find the Church of Saint Joseph where Jesus’ father, Joseph had his carpentry.

Later drive to the Sea of Galilee where Jesus calmed the sea and walked on the water where we will enjoy a boat ride. Across the water we can see the Golan Heights forming a beautiful backdrop as we pass the city of Tiberias which was settled more than 2,000 years ago and named after the Roman emperor Tiberius.

Then we will travel Mitzpeh Hashalom lookout, also known as The Peace Lookout, is a large concrete slab with the most spectacular views of the Kinneret. There is an option of descending the viewpoint via some steep stairs and through the wildflowers towards a hidden spring called Maayan Mitzpeh Hashalom. Another option is to arrive at the viewpoint of Mitzpeh Hashalom (Kfar Harov) and to walk left, along the top of the cliff towards Ein Shoko (Kfar Mavo). Later to the Golan heights to admire the beautiful scenery and the beautiful views. Further on to Golan Heights Winery, for wine tasting Israel’s leading producer of quality wines, was established in 1983 by four kibbutzim and four moshavim.

Drive back to the hotel for overnight.
